I can't express how excited I am right now. Tonight will start Daniel's 1 week 2 day Christmas vacation! Tomorrow night is his Christmas party (maybe we'll win something good!) Sunday morning we fly off into the great blue yonder headed to Atlanta!!! I can't wait to see our families and hug my parents. Mostly I can't wait for them to see Eli. He was about 6 months old the last time they saw him! It's unreal how much he's grown!!! He's a little man now. I've been mentally preparing for what all we will need for the plane ride and physically preparing for everything else. Mostly I just want my house to be clean for when we come home. I hate coming home to a dirty house.
Our British dryer is a lot slower and smaller than American ones that we are used to. It takes almost twice as long to dry clothes which makes me hate doing laundry even more than I already do. I've literally done the bare minimum for the past couple weeks so I am trying to get caught up so we will at least have fresh underwear to take with us. ;) I always say I won't get behind on my laundry again but every 3 weeks or so I spend days washing, drying and folding everything we own. We got a letter from the OB stating that we are pregnant so now that we have two children we can get on the list for base housing!! Woo-Hoo!!! (there are American dryers in the base housing if you're wandering about the connection here) My biggest hope now is that we can get a house before Daniel deploys or at least a date for when one will become available after he does deploy. If it isn't too long after he deploys Eli and I will stay here and get everything moved in (not necessarily unpacked) before we head back to the states.
I also have been getting excited that this baby is going to be a summer baby! I absolutely hated winter maternity clothes. They were bulky and I prefer wearing dresses as often as I can anyway. I will be taking Eli to the pool/lake as much as possible and I'll have a nice little glow... I was a gross, pasty ghost with Eli. My theory is that being tan and fat is better than opaque and fat.
Another thing I'm getting excited about is that I'm pretty close to the weight I was when I first found out I was pregnant with Eli. However, I don't look like I did. My weight is distributed in places it wasn't before. I've always had a belly pooch and I feel like it's already started growing?! I know that people say you show earlier with 2nd babies but really? I'm only like 5 weeks. Not cool. One thing I have decided about this pregnancy is that I will not eat whatever I want like I did with Eli... I would literally eat like 6 cupcakes or 2 cheeseburgers, large fry and coke from McDonald's... or maybe all of it together. I gained about 56 pounds, what women with multiples gain. I was knocking on 200's door. How sad.
Anyway, all this has just been on my mind. Sorry for the all about me post! Just to make it worth your while, here is Eli Tuesday night around 10 fighting sleep. He kept putting this hoodie over his head and crawling around... He only bumped into 1 or 2 things!
